Our Activities

Wednesdays, 6:30pm
Masonic Lodge, 40th Street & Avenue C

The scouts always look forward to their monthly excursions. These are detailed on the calendar and directions to the site of each excursion can be found on our resources page.

Weekly meeting are held on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm at the Masonic Lodge (corner of 40th Street and Avenue C in Bayonne).
From 6:30 - 7pm, the boys socialize informally. The official meeting begins at 7pm and ends at approximately 8pm.  During these meetings, the scouts engage in many different activities, many of which help them work towards a higher rank.
Once per month, 2 patrols go swimming at Lincoln pool, 2 patrols go to the shooting range at 16th Street Park, while the other 2 patrols practice archery.
Whlie the trips are fairly cinsustent from year to year, dates or months for each activity may change.  Trips include canoeing on the Delaware with overnight camping, Gettysburgh, PA, skiing in Vermont, and several camping trips at camp sites such as Camp Mason (Blairstown, NJ), Camp Pouch (Staten Island, NY), Camp Alpine (Alpine, NJ), Camp NoBeBoSco (Blairstown, NJ), Quail Hill Scout Reservation (Englishtown, NJ) and Camp Lewis (Blairstown NJ).  The final camping trip of the year is a week-long stay at Camp NoBeBoSco (Blairstown, NJ) in early July during which the scouts work toward rank requirements and merit badges. An annual scout mass id held at St. Vincent's Church in February.

Supporting our church and our commnunity is an essential part of the boy scout program and instills in the boys a sense of belonging and responsibility.

Troop 25 makes every effort to keep costs down for our families.  Our goal is to afford the scouting opportunity to evey interested young boy, regrdless of the ability to pay.  Our fundraising activities make this a reality.

Annual fundraisers include an annual wreath sale that takes place in November - December and an annual palm cross sale that takes place just before Easter.  Please see our fundraising page for details and to place an order.
